This session will begin by introducing the concept of offshore business and outlining how an International Finance Centre (IFC) is developed. Following this, we will explore the key characteristics of a well-regulated IFC and discuss the importance of sound regulation in this context. It will be providing an overview of typical offshore products and services to enhance understanding of the sector.

By the end of this session, delegates will be able to complete or demonstrate the following;

• An improved understanding of the offshore industry and the issues it faces
• Greater awareness of global influences and pressures that IFC businesses face
