Difficult conversations in finance:

Does your role involve difficult conversations with colleagues, clients or others? Maybe you need to address cost pressures, implement process changes, raise concerns around risk, or give feedback on behaviours that impact team and business performance?

This workshop equips you with essential skills to engage in high-quality conversations, especially when interacting with emotionally charged or stressed individuals. You’ll learn how to challenge others, speak up, ask pointed questions, and provide constructive feedback in a way that leads to better outcomes for you and your business.

You will gain the tools to:

• Understand and overcome key barriers to effective communication
• Adopt behaviours that encourage constructive dialogue
• Make use of practical frameworks to prepare for real-life challenging conversations and navigate emotional interactions with resilience

By the end of the workshop, you’ll be better equipped to handle emotionally charged conversations with confidence and effectiveness, building stronger connections and relationships even in difficult situations.

ACCA members can use this learning to meet their CPD requirements provided it is relevant to their career. If the event contributes to general knowledge and skills, it should be recorded as non-verifiable CPD. If the learning can be applied in the workplace, it will contribute to verifiable CPD.
